FAQ's

Where have I been? Coming into the blogging world I had high expectations for myself. I had hoped to be able to produce just as many blog posts as I was able to make videos but that just wasn't the case. I realized that taking the time to sit down and write a lengthy blog post was a lot harder, and definitely took a lot more thought process, than to sit down and film a beauty video. So I stopped blogging for a bit and now looking back, I regret it. I thought blogging wasn't my thing for the longest time but I want it to become more than just a "thing" for me, I want blogging to be something that I can do to help me express my feelings, share them with people that care, and look back later and reminisce on all I've done. So I'm back. Maybe not in full-force blogging mode, but for the time being I'm going to try because there's so much that I want to share and this is the best outlet for me.

What does Trading Mascara for Mommyhood mean? I must say, I got a little caught up thinking that everyone would understand my blog name immediately because I just thought that everyone following me would already have a sense of who I am. But again, I had no realization of how big the blogging world truly is and there are people out there that *shocker* may just stumble upon this blog without coming from another various source of mine beforehand. So my blog name is actually sort of a pun, in my eyes. I make beauty videos on YouTube and have been for over 3 years now so I thought it would be a fun play on words to say that I'm trading in my mascara to take on my new role as a mother. However I really am not giving up mascara, or beauty products for that matter, because I'm still continuing to make those videos and probably will continue to as long as I possibly can. 

What are you doing now? Well since I quit my part-time job in my first trimester of pregnancy (I'll probably make a whole post as to why in the future), I'm currently at home for the most part. As I said above, I do make YouTube videos and I upload as frequently as I can. On top of that in August I became an Independent Consultant for Scentsy and that has taken up a lot of my time as well. I love both of these "jobs" very much and they have given me a lot of time to take care of myself and start preparing for my baby girl. I now want to add that on top of doing those two things, I am going to strive to become a better blogger so let's all cross our fingers and hope for the best!

For now those are the three main questions I feel really needed to be answered on this blog. I'm going to set a goal for myself to start with one post a week and I will maintain that goal. Of course in the future I do want to post more than once a week, but for now I think this goal will be an easy one to keep. I'd like to thank those of you that have asked me where I've been and for continuing to follow me on this journey. I appreciate it so much and your kind words are what made me want to come back into this blogging world.
